The Marrow Adiposity & Bone Laboratory (MABLab ULR4490), affiliated with the University of Lille (ULille), the University of Littoral Côte d’Opale (ULCO) and Lille University Hospital, is a cutting-edge research unit dedicated to exploring the intricate relationship between bone tissue and marrow adiposity. At MABLab, multidisciplinary teams of clinicians and biologists collaborate across two sites in Boulogne-sur-Mer and Lille to address a central question: Could the fat within our bones hold the key to understanding and treating bone diseases?

The laboratory hypothesizes that the interplay between bone tissue and medullary adiposity plays a pivotal role in the pathogenesis of bone diseases. By integrating diverse expertise and employing approaches ranging from molecular biology to clinical studies, MABLab aims to uncover mechanisms that could revolutionize our understanding of bone health. This multidisciplinary approach not only advances fundamental research but also holds promise for developing innovative diagnostic tools and treatments for patients worldwide
